Week 8

This week is about light and color. I played with the saturation, hue and lightness. I also played with the levels adjustment and the exposure correction. In the photo of the dark clouds my intent was to lighten the sky and make the grass greener. In the picture with the trees my intent was to put a little more color in the trees. I feel they could still use a bit more color.

Week 7

I took the picture of the background then I cropped the picture of the bridge. I created a layer. I used the lasso tool and inverted it to use only the picture of the bridge. I used the feather tool to create the look of the bridge being open on both ends. Therefore seeing the grass on the other side. I used the rule of thirds to place the bridge on the landscape.

Week 6 Landscape

This week landscape pictures.The colors aren't very bright where I am this year. In the first photo I was attempting to get a diagonal line with the road. Minimal diagonal when I was able to view the picture on a larger screen. Picture 2: I was trying to attempt the rule of thirds. I accomplished this but the picture could have been a little more in focus. The time of day may be affecting the focus. Picture 3 is of the sun setting. I love the red sky. Picture 4 is of the sun rising. I feel the bottom half of the picture could be brighter. Maybe I should have waited for the sun to rise a little more. Picture 5 I was attempting a framing shot. I feel the picture should have been cropped on the left. I like the lighting in the photo. Picture 6. I was trying to capture the lighting and the way it was throwing shadows on the trees.

Here are the pictures I will include in my slideshow once I am successful at creating one. Some of my photos came out blurry. I am unsure why except that it was a rainy day.

Week 4 Color Schemes

Week 4 Color Schemes

I chose monochromatic and analogous. This assignment was a little difficult to find items with only the colors I wanted. There always seemed to be extra colors in most of the pictures I took.

The first picture shows monochromatic. I chose as many values of red as I could find.

The second shot is of analogous color scheme. The three hues I used are yellow, yellow-orange and orange.
I had wanted to use leaves and pumpkins but was unable to find the color leaves I wanted. I will look to find fake leaves to get the exact colors I wanted.
